Lance Armstrong Denies Drug Accusation

In a recently released book, "L.A. Confidential: The Secrets of Lance Armstrong," authors David Walsh and Pierre Ballester accuse the 5 time Tour de France winner of doping.

Walsh and Ballester spoke to a former aide of Armstrong's, Emma O'Reilly, who spoke of needle cover-ups and injection marks. The book goes on to claim that the needles contained a banned performance-enhancing drug.

Armstrong dismissed the accusations, saying, "Extraordinary accusations must be followed with extraordinary proof and Mr. Walsh and Mr. Ballester have worked four or five years and they have not come up with extraordinary proof."

  I hope

Armstrong is telling the truth. I'd hate it if he really did cheat by taking these drugs. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt for now.
