'Ferris Bueller' principal failed to register as sex offender

Actor Jeffery Jones, who played the high school principal in 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off," has been accused of failing to register as a sex offender in relation to soliciting a 14-year-old boy to pose for sexually explicit photos.

The charges were made a year ago; Jones pleaded no contest and was sentenced to 5 years probation, undergo counseling and register as a sex offender (SN reported). He registered the address he lived at last year but moved and didn't register again.

Sex offenders are required to notify authorities of a change of address within 48 hours of moving.
Jones was arrested and later released on $1,000 bail. He could not be reached by reporters. He has also starred in 'Beetlejuice' and 'Sleepy Hollow.'
