The mayor of a town in Kenya has ordered more than 500 pigs shot dead after they were seen mating with stray dogs. A death squad went from estate to estate, shooting free-roaming pigs in Nyahururu.
The mayor, Muritu Karumba, said he ordered the cull to prevent a disease outbreak. He said the pigs and dogs mating breaks the laws of nature and "caused unnecessary commotion."
The owners of the pigs say that there's a broader conspiracy afoot than just putting down kinky pigs. They say town authorities are colluding with bacon sellers to cut competition in the pork supply.
