Hotel prices have risen across the board in the United States recently and were one of the major reasons for the increase in consumer spending for September. Room occupancy has risen for the first 8 months of this year, sitting at 67% on average.
This is an increase of 5.8% in comparison with last year. One analyst said that “Occupancies have been healthy, especially in business travel destinations. One thing follows the other -- the travelers come back, rates go up."
