Nichole Mallette, 24, is suing radio show host Don Imus for wrongful termination and defamation. She worked as a nanny for Imus in his Manhattan and Connecticut homes for his son. She also worked at a New Mexico ranch he owns for sick children.
Mallette says she was fired after she brought a cap gun and pocketknife to the ranch. She claims that the knife stayed in its holder and that the purpose of the cap gun was so Imus' 5 y.o. son could play cowboys.
She says Imus and his wife woke her at 1am to question her about this and escorted her from the ranch at 4:15am. She feels defamed because on his radio show, Imus said he had to "disarm" his nanny. She has the lawyer who went after Bill O'Reilly.
