TiVoToGo A Go Go

TiVo Inc. have announced shipment of its new product, "TiVoToGo." This new product will allow subscribers to schedule recording of TV shows and watch them using a laptop computer even when away from home.

TiVo, who make one of the available Digital Video Recorder technologies, has been under pressure recently as cable companies roll out low cost DVR technology allowing customers to record TV digitally and easily on a hard disk.

The move has created interest from investors. TiVo has seen stock rise 3.5% on the back of the announcement. TiVo is expected to announce new products and services at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week.

Is there still a member fee?

Last time I looked into TIVO, you had to pay a monthly charge or a one time 200 dollar life time fee. I like the ideal of it, but with fees
