US Secretary of State Shocked By Aceh Destruction

Colin Powell, the US Secretary of State, is in Indonesia to see the destruction left behind by the tsunami. He flew over Aceh's destroyed provincial capital in a helicopter and was shocked by what he saw.

"I have been in war and I have been through a number of hurricanes, tornados and other relief operations, but I have never seen anything like this," Powell said. The death toll in Indonesia stands at 94,000 at present and is still rising.

A donors' conference is being held on Thursday in Jakarta, Mr Powell will be attending.
