John Lynch from the Denver Broncos has been fined US$75,000 for a helmet-to-helmet hit he made on Colts fullback Dallas Clark in the game on Sunday. The hefty fine was given because it’s Lynch’s 4th fine since 2001.
Lynch is a 12-year NFL veteran and is known for being a hard hitter. Lynch’s hit on Clark resulted in a Bronco’s touchdown after Clark fumbled. A review on the hit – because it didn’t constitute as a tackle – reinstated a personal foul.
Lynch said of the Colts that "They're great players. You've got to find something to slow them down. The only way I think people have found is to be physical with them." Clark was out of the game with a concussion after Lynch’s hit.
