The United States’ third biggest air line, Delta, has announced that it will be cutting domestic ticket prices by up to 50% as it struggles to combat the affects of higher fuel prices, falling sales and competition from no-frills airlines.
Delta is currently under a complete restructure as it attempts to avoid bankruptcy. It has promised that no one-way economy ticket to anywhere within the United States will cost more than $499 and first class tickets no more than $599.
Included in the restructuring is a review of the air lines’ food and cheaper fees for changing a booking.
