Canada Could Ban Sale of Drugs over Internet

The Canadian government is mulling a new bill issued by health officials in Canada that would see the sale of drugs over the internet banned. Debate has been raging as drugs are cheaper in Canada, and US patients are buying them online.

Online drug sales and reimportation of US-made drugs is a US$700 million industry that will be effectively non-existent should the bill make it through the government. The US has tried to stop reimportation as the drugs aren’t guaranteed to be safe.

A proposal will be officially handed over to the Canadian parliament at the end of this month.

  Hmm
so what the US is saying is that the drugs they export to Canada aren't safe? If the re-importation of them isn't safe? hmm

  That
was my first thought yep. If they're not safe when they get sent back to the US then how can they be safe when they're sent to Canada in the first place?

  what about
all the fake medicine being sold, unsuspecting people trying to get bargins are getting sugar pills at best, and dangerous mixtures of chimecals that no one knoes the effects or side effects of. people will always look for a bargan, and there are lots of people taking advantage of that fact causing untold harm both to the people who buy it, and the healthcare system that musttthen take care of the fools who buy from the wrong places

  "Aren't guaranteed safe"

Nonsense. It is to protect the profits of the pharmacuetical industry and for nothing more.

I'd sooner die than pay high prices, and it looks like I may well get to this way...

I couldn't agree with you more..
The lobbyist in Washington have made their way to Canada to push this crap through with some lining of some pockets.
How do we get rid of these lobbying buttholes?
