Another Critical Vulnerability in Microsoft Internet Explorer Found

Security company Secunia has demonstrated yet another vulnerability in Microsoft Internet Explorer running under Windows XP Service Pack 2. The vulnerability can be exploited to compromise systems bypassing operating system security features.

The security company has only one advise: "Use another product."

Those insisting on using Internet Explorer 6.0 should disable the "drag and drop or copy and paste files" option and set the security level to high for the Internet Zone.

  heh and...

What isn't mentioned in the article is that Secunia notified Microsoft about the vulnerability more than 3 months ago and they have left it unpatched.

  Since when

Since when hasn't another critical vulnerability been found in Microsoft Internet Explorer? Come on, finding critical vulnerabilities in Internet explorer is SO 2004!

Seriously though, I hope people don't stop using it... then all the hackers will start focusing on FireFox... my browser of choice!

  And the proof!

This is just an example of how the vulnerability can run code on your machine. The link above will (If you are running Windows XP IE 6.0) open a command prompt that says.
"You should not be using MSIE6, unless you want a hacker to damage your computer.
I suggest that you install FireFox from http://www.mozilla.org."

If you're smart you wont click on the link above but for the curious/brave/stupid out there I assure you it is harmless ;)
