Biosphere is Up for Sale

Decisions Investment is selling Biosphere 2 which consists of 3.1 glass-enclosed acres and is located 16 miles North of Tucson, Arizona. 70 other buildings on the 140 acre campus are also up for sale. The site was most recently used for tourism.

8 "Biospherians" stayed in the self-contained environment in 1991 but their planned two year stay was cut short by numerous setbacks and rising costs. Over $200 million was spent to build it in the 1980s so it could be a space colony prototype.

Environmental features such as an ocean, rainforest, desert, etc, were inside the enclosed research center.

  not important but...

I remember when this thing was being built and I went to see it with my grandparents. But think of the great reality show they could make now! I think ABC might be writing a check and I smell Surviver: Biosphere.

Survivor was on CBS... don't let their lawyers see your mistake.

  Who paid for Biosphere? Taxpayers?

If I paid for part of it then I don't want it sold to some sort of Disney or CBS/NBC corporation or anyone else profiting from it. I want it turned into an educational research center (same if it is privately built).

Pauly Shore could be the Director of Operations.
