The Danish Institute of Agricultural Research conducted research showing the organic milk has more antioxidants, Vitamin E and omega 3 essential fatty acids than nonorganic milk. The results were presented to the Soil Conference in Newcastle, UK.
Vitamin E levels were 50% higher in organic milk than nonorganic milk. Organic milk also had 75% more beta carotene which the body turns into Vitamin A. It appears to have as much beta carotene as vegetable portions like brussel sprouts.
Nutritionists add that beta carotene and Vitamin E can be obtained through food sources and add that the choice to drink organic milk or nonorganic milk is a matter of personal choice. Some scientists want to know why organic milk had more vitamins.
