Libraries in Mississippi Ban Jon Stewart Book

Because Jon Stewart's Book "America (The Book)" depicts the nine US Supreme Court Justices in the buff, libraries in Southern Mississippi counties have banned it. This follows Wal Mart's decision not to sell the book.

The Jackson-George Regional Library System Director says: “We’re not an adult bookstore. Our entire collection is open to the entire public. If they had published the book without that one picture, that one page, we’d have the book.”

Tara Skelton, a former English teacher in Mississippi, says: “It just really seemed kind of silly to me. I don’t think the Supreme Court justices have filed any defamation of character or libel suits. It’s humor.”

  lol
on last night's Daily Show, Stewart observed how his book was only banned overnight while the library wasn't even open. hahaha

Wonder why they din't think the ban through a little longer in the first place

  Because
If they had thought about it, they wouldnt have banned it in the first place.

Honestly, don't they even READ the books they ban?

  actually
no, they don't usually.. they rely on reports and reviews from groups.. the problem is, listen to the wrong groups who have an agenda, and suddenly you're a book burning witch hunter..
