Late Superman actor Christopher Reeve has been nominated for the Director’s Guild of America’s annual award that is given out in recognition of made-for-TV films. Four other nominees were also named yesterday.
Reeve was nominated for “The Brooke Ellison Story” which he directed. It was aired shortly after he died following complications directly related to Reeve’s paralysis. It is the first time Reeve has been nominated for the award.
Also nominated were Joe Sargent, Robert Altman, Stephen Hopkins and Lloyd Kramer. The winner will be announced at the end of the month.
