Boy, Aged 12, Adult Woman, Charged in Rape, Murder of Boy, Aged 3
 

In Springfield, Massachussets, both a 12-year-old boy and an adult woman have been charged in the rape and murder of a 3-year-old boy left in the care of the woman. Under law, the name of the older boy isn't revealed. Marisol Alverio is the woman.

Earlier Wednesday the youth was arraigned and ordered held without bail in Springfield Juvenile Court. The woman is scheduled to be arraigned in Springfield District Court Thurday. The charge is murder and reckless endangerment of a child.

Jeremy Rosario Milan died two days after being hospitalized with bruises and a severe head injury. He had been raped at least twice and beaten several times between December 11 and 17, 2004.

 ....give this woman the chair....as for the boy, i could understand if maybe he was coaxed into this, but my opinion could change once more details surface.

 ....the source says that the 12 year old was the rapist and murderer.....how a 12 year old gets an idea about raping and murdering a 3 year old is past me, but i'm sure someone is going to blame it on marilyn manson or video games.

  The woman was charged  
 because she knew the 12 year old boy was picking on the toddler and failed to intervene and to seek medical attention when it was obviously needed. She was probably concerned what people would think if a doctor was called to attend children in her care.

I guess you could say the toddler died because the woman was too socially insecure.

Sad story.

 The commas, although inappropriate, were not the main problem. The title suggests that the woman was charged with rape. That was never the case.

  I personally  
 couldn't give a flying f*ck about the punctuation. The point is that a 12 year old raped and killed a 3 year old and an adult woman just stood by and let it happen because reporting it might make her look bad.

I'm no expert in law, but I thought that you could be charged as an accomplice if you don't stop or try to stop this kind of thing.
