Harvey Kash and Carl Lanzisera, founders of the group called Americans for Legal Reform, were standing in line outside a Long Island NY courthouse waiting to get in when Harvey tells Carl a lawyer joke that brought giggles to the people waiting.
"How do you tell when a lawyer is lying?" Harvey asked Carl, with both replying in unison, "his lips are moving". However, a lawyer farther up the line was not amused by the joke and told the pair to quieten down.
When they refused, the lawyer reported them to court personnel, who in turn charged them with disorderly conduct. Dan Bagnuola, spokesman for the Nassau County courts said the men were "being abusive and they were causing a disturbance."
