Danny Bautista Agrees to $1.9M Contract with Tampa Bay

The Tampa Bay Devil Rays have signed free agent outfielder Danny Bautista on a one year contract worth $1.9 million. Bautista played the last 4 1/2 seasons with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

During his 141 games in 2004, Bautista hit .286 with 27 doubles, 11 homers and 65 RBIs. During the 2001 World Series he batted .583 for the Diamondbacks during their victory over the Yankees.

Additional bonuses can also be earned by Bautista during the contract.
