Kate Stelnick, 19, set a precedent in Clearfield, PA by conquering the "Denny's Beer Barrel Pub Challenge": She successfully consumed a six-pound hamburger in a record 2 hours and 54 minutes.
The hamburger challenge was introduced on Super Bowl Sunday in 1998 and no one was ever able to meet the challenge. Not even competitive eater Eric "Badlands" Booker was able to complete the task in the allotted time.
Stelnick is a petite woman as well, weighing only about 100 pounds. "I just saw it on TV and I really thought I could do it," Stelnick said. "[Afterwards] I felt very full, but I was too excited that I actually ate it to notice."
