ADRIAN, Mich. - Police arrested 50-year-old Carol A. Ries after the vehicle she was driving rear ended another vehicle. A breathalyzer test revealed she had three times the blood alcohol content required to be charged with DUI.
Officers at the scene of the accident observed an open bottle of Listerine mouth wash in her vehicle. Upon questioning, Ries told police that she drank three glasses of the product that day.
Listerine has a 26.9 % alcohol content, which is more than most malt liquors.
