67-Year-Old Woman Gives Birth - One Twin Dead

Romanian doctors at the Giulesti Maternity Hospital in Bucharest performed a cesarean section today on 67-year-old Adriana Iliescu after one of the twins she was carrying died in her womb. The surviving baby is in intensive care and weighs 1.4kg.

A spokeswoman for the hospital said: "The mother is doing well. She is saying she has been given a new lease of life," and that the baby is breathing without support.

Adriana Iliescu is thought to be the world's oldest recorded mother.

are u crazy? Babies are typically born from 6-10 lbs. 1.4 kg is only 3.08 lbs. That is grossly underweight.
