TIME magazine is reporting about US intelligence concerns of a potential terror threat for the upcoming presidential Inaugural ceremony in Washington, with limousines being used as vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices.
Such fears were prompted by last years seizure of an Al-Quaeda document, titled "Rough Presentation for Gas Limo Project". It included a scenario using limousines to deliver explosive devices equipped with cylinders of a flammable gas.
Since January 5th it has drawn the special attention of authorities towards security measures at the Bush Inauguration ceremony, allthough it didn´t mention specific targets. The plan recommends limousines as the most effective weapon in metro terror.
