TIME magazine is reporting about US intelligence concerns of a potential terror threat for the upcoming presidential Inaugural ceremony in Washington, with limousines being used as vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices.
Such fears were prompted by last years seizure of an Al-Quaeda document, titled "Rough Presentation for Gas Limo Project". It included a scenario using limousines to deliver explosive devices equipped with cylinders of a flammable gas.
Since January 5th it has drawn the special attention of authorities towards security measures at the Bush Inauguration ceremony, allthough it didn“t mention specific targets. The plan recommends limousines as the most effective weapon in metro terror.
