Two US companies are working on building recreational vehicles (RVs) that can with stand the nuclear radiation from a dirty bomb attack and also particles from chemical and biological attacks. The more pricier Rvs would have this option.
Wednesday's Tampa Super RV Show will display these $1.2-2 million vehicles. Satellite navigation system and plasma televisions are included on Parliament's Prevost RVs. The other company is called Homeland Defense and it has government contracts.
Parliament CEO Harvey Mitchell says: "Many people enjoy the RV lifestyle, but we also live in an era when people have some level of fear about terrorism. These concerns about terrorism are linked to states where people with RVs like to travel."
