Tsunami Help E-mail Spreading Virus

Using the subject line "Tsunami donation! Please help!", hackers are sending out e-mails containing a virus in the attachment "tsunami.exe", Web security firm Sophos has said. If the attachment is opened it will automatically be sent to others.

"Duping innocent users into believing that they may be helping the tsunami disaster aid efforts shows hackers stooping to a new low," Sophos senior technology consultant Graham Cluley said in a statement.

Sophos recommends deleting the mail without opening the attachment.

  I don't understand
Who could do something like this? I mean, they don't even gain anything from it. Unless they really get their kicks from ruining the day for innocent people just trying to help out others in need. I can understand why someone would right a virus to steal bank account info and whatnot, but to do something like this is just... just... well, there isn't even a word to describe how terrible it is. Whoever does stuff like this should be tar and feathered then thrown into a wolf den.

But, then again, if the idiots actually opened an attachment (especially ones with .exe extensions)from a complete stranger they probably deserved what they got.
