Catholic Archbishop 'Freed in Iraq'

Church Officials have communicated to the press the release of Archbishop Basile Georges Casmoussa who was kidnapped in the Iraqi city of Mosul 24 hours ago.

Potris Moshi, an assistant to the church leader said in a statement “He has been freed and he is on his way home without paying any ransom” .

This statement comes after earlier reports from the Catholic news agency MISNA that his captors were demanding a ransom of €143,000.

  Probably thought....
He was a loony religious fanatic and thought they would not get anything for him....

  Apparently
he was abducted by mistake, meaning that the hostage-takers didn't realise who they were throwing into the boot of their shagged-out old car. Later the found out who they had and released him.

The moral of the story: you can f*ck with the US, you can f*ck with the UK, but NEVER f*ck with the Vatican.

All the guy said was "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee."

Did the trick ;)

  I'm glad they didn't
But I am curious - surely there is something more in this than "Oops! We're kidnapped the wrong guy."

  Thats Nothing
You should have heard the conversation the Archbishop had with his captor, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi:

Archbishop: And you know what they call a... a... a Quarter Pounder with Cheese in Paris?
al-Zarqawi: They don't call it a Quarter Pounder with cheese?
Archbishop: No man, they got the metric system. They wouldn't know what the f*ck a Quarter Pounder is.
al-Zarqawi: Then what do they call it?
Archbishop: They call it a "Royale" with cheese.
al-Zarqawi: A "Royale" with cheese. What do they call a Big Mac?
Archbishop: Well, a Big Mac's a Big Mac, but they call it "le Big-Mac".
al-Zarqawi: "Le Big-Mac". Ha ha ha ha. What do they call a Whopper?
Archbishop: I dunno, I didn't go into Burger King.

  HeHe
That movie has got to be one of the all-time greats for quotes. Tarantino for Prez.

  Kill Bill sucks
and Tarantino never should of had his name on Hero. I mean what the hell!? He didn't do anything for the movie, it was already released overseas two years before it ever came here and all of a sudden it's Quentin Tarantino presents Hero? Get the f'ck out of here. Resevoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, great movies, but people but way too much into Kill Bill and everything else he does now just because it's Quentin Tarantino. Oh, he's just so dreamy...puke.

  Yep...
I do like his stuff but I must confess that I like Samuel L as an actor. He makes some movies.
