Despite him not yet being certain whether he is going to retire or not, Houston Astros pitcher, Roger Clemens, is asking for a $22m (£12m) salary. The 42-year-old is requesting the salary via a salary arbitration process.
The Houston Chronicle has reported that the Astros have made an offer of $13.5m in an attempt to avoid the Febuary hearing, to take place if the two sides can't agree a salary. Clemens earned $5m (£2.7m), plus $1.825m (£1m) in bonuses in 2004.
