As part of operation Tic-Tac, Spanish Civil Guard units arrested a man who allegedly wrote a trojan horse program that allowed one remote access to another's computer. Police say he was snooping on people through their webcams as they busted in.
The trojan horse is said to have had a keystroke logger and police say the trojan is "highly sophisticated." Thousands of users in multiple countries are said to be affected. There are no antivirus programs to find the trojan.
A resident of Alicante, Spain alerted police after having a computer problem, and a Spanish antivirus company assisted in finding the suspect. Police say "We believe he is guilty. We found a mountain of evidence."
