Hewitt Moves on to Third Round at Australian Open

Australian Lleyton Hewitt has defeated American James Blake in the second round of the Australian Open in Melbourne. Third seeded Hewitt beat Blake 4-6, 7-6 (8), 6-0, 6-3 in a tough centre-court match.

Early last year, Blake broke a vertebra in his neck during an incident at training and while recovering contracted a disease that affected his sight, hearing and temporarily paralysed part of his face.

Blake said of his loss: "I've been off tour for a while. That's what I missed, being in a tiebreaker with one of the best players in the world. The crowd is into it. You get chances. You're a little nervous. That's what's fun. And I missed that."
