A leading politician from Austria has called for California Governer Arnold Schwarzenegger to be stripped of his Austrian citizenship following the recent execution of a man in California.
Peter Pilz and outspoken left wing green party member states that the death penalty is abhorrent to Austrians and Europeans and since Shwarzenegger allowed 'state murder' to occur he should be punished for it.
The comments are a stark contrast to the previous pro-Arnold feelings from Austria, where citizens considered Shwarzenegger to be one of their most famous exports. Despite the recent upset it is highly unlikely the governor will lose his citizenship.
