As more automakers pursue hybrid gas-electric vehicles, more companies are ceasing to develop cars that run on just natural gas or electricity.
California resident Ann Deren-Lewis owns a Honda Civic that runs on compressed natural gas. This fuel is cheaper than gasoline. She adds "I’m driving a car that doesn’t put any bad things into the environment, it’s cheap to operate and maintain."
Honda is the only one making these vehicles. Other companies say there is low demand. Consumers have to go to special pumping stations for natural gas and don't appear to like waiting 8 hours to recharge electric cars. Hybrids just need gas stations.
