Eagles Headed to the Super Bowl

The Philadelphia Eagles have reached their first Super Bowl in twenty four years after they beat the Atlanta Falcons 27-10 in Philadelphia yesterday. This was the fourth consecutive year the Eagles were playing to make it to the Super Bowl.

The Eagles will meet the New England Patriots in Florida on the sixth of next month. The Patriots are the current reigning champions. Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb spoke directly to the home crowd after yesterday’s game.

He said: "We've got one more game to play. The reason we set out to play this game ... is to win the Super Bowl. Enjoy it now, and we'll bring something else home." Nearly 70,000 people attended the game.

not watching the game this year
There are 2 football teams that I absolutely hate. Those two teams are the Patriots and the Eagles. Just my luck that they both happenened to make it to the Super Bowl this year. Both are excellent teams this year and they both deserve to be there. But damn. Ah well. Maybe I'll just watch it for the commercials. Yeah, thats it, the commercials. That way I'm not supporting either team, right? :-/
