Venus Williams out of Australian Open

Eighth seeded Venus Williams has fallen to Australian Alicia Molik in the fourth round of the Australian Open, with the last set going to a tie break. Molik defeated Venus 7-5, 7-6 and will now go on to meet Lindsay Davenport.

Molik, who has been seeded 10th in the tournament and won bronze for Australia in last year’s Olympics, said: “This is a huge feat, I beat Venus. I beat her playing my tennis… and that's something I can be pretty proud of."
