Father and 5 Year Old Daughter Reunited a Month After Tsunami

One month on from the Asian tsunami disaster, a father who had never given up hope for his missing 5 year old daughter, who was presumed to be dead, was reunited with her at a Save The Children reunion in Indonesia.

Mustafa Kamal is reported to said that he had visions of his daughter Rina Augustina for weeks since her disappearance and he refused to give up on her, despite losing both his wife and two other daughters.

Somehow the infant made it to a government building after surviving the tsunami and another family spotted her name on a list of survivors. The reunion is understood to have been very emotional, with aid workers joining father and daughter in tears.

  Yay!

Great to hear...it's nice to have stories with happy(ish) endings.

Although I wouldn't really call a 5-year-old an infant...
