Firefighters Under Investigation For Firehouse Sexcapades
Sacramento CA. - Four Sacramento firefighters are under investigation of allegations of having group sex in the fire station while on duty.
City officials, including Mayor Heather Fargo, said they would be watching to see that the incident is properly investigated and that proper disciplinary action is taken should the allegations be true.
Fire Chief Joe Cherry has vowed to bring respectability to his department, which has been scandal ridden in the past. The accused include a male captain, two male firefighters and a female firefighter.
as long as nothing was burned down and it was all consensual, what's the harm? They're firefighters, they're at the firehouse for long-ass shifts, hell, they get paid to sleep there, so what's the big deal?
Emeregency personnel, and the public has an expectation of readiness -- not for group sex amongst themselves - but for firefighting at a moment's notice from these individuals.
They have certain standards of conduct which must be adhered to as employs in the capacity they are in -- firefighting is not a job to be caught with one's pants down on. They need to be willing to drop down that pole and be out the door the moment the phone rings.
I understand they need to operate as a team and coordinate closey, but having their body parts attached to one other's is not about to improve their effectiveness at...

sleeping, eating, using the bathroom, playing video games, showering, all things I know firefighters do while on duty, they're not allowed because that means they're not on the edge of their seat waiting for a call? I'll agree, definitely bad judgement on their part, but unless there's anything in their contract or employee manual specifically against it, I don't think the city has any grounds to stand on..
lol.. seems group sex was not the extent of the scandal. They allegedly attended a pornstar costume ball. Any idea if the Sacramento Fire Department is hiring? :P
OK so as you know the fire depot has 2-3 shifts of workers depending on how demanding the job or area is.... so at one point of the day they are at home sleeping. they also eat 2 meals at home, and the do whatever peorsonal activities in that time, but usualy they are tired so they sleep. So when you are at the fire depot, it seems to me that you need all your energy for doing you job, not working up a sweat puming your hose. and so the government or who ever is taking care of the situation has an obligation to prosicute those that put other peoples lifes in danger, because remeber the firefighters cant save like and fight fires when they are tired. bada bing
Yes, they are consenting adults but it is a work place. I am an adult who works very long hours at the hospital and I too love sex but I’m certainly not going to fornicate while on the job!
are you allowed to sleep at your job, shower at your job, watch tv, play video games, etc? Firefighters are frequently "on call" for 24hrs or more at a time, that's why there are sleeping facilities there, kitchens, etc. I agree, it wasn't smart of them, but unless there was something that said sex, etc. was not allowed... On the other hand, there's a lot more to the story that's been coming out lately.. appears that the actual sex acts themselves are the least of the problems, it was the showing up at the porno convention with the fire truck and in uniform that really got them in trouble..
sleeping in the workplace (or living there, in some manner) is common to many jobs. Military. Soldiers aren't allowed to have sex while on duty (I did read that some country allowed married couples some priviledges, but other tnan that...) are they? On-call Doctors, residents, nurses, interns? I'm sure there's a whole lot more, but those are the main ones that come to mind at the moment...
What, praytell, is so darned wrong with sex?? I used to have it in the back of an ambulance with nurses! If the firemen and women want to make love...that's their own darned business! We live in a very perverted society where a beautiful act of loving the human body is made to look so perverted! The ONLY perversion is the folks that are against sex! I LOVE Sex!
