Philadelphia Eagle star receiver Terrell Owens has been jogging in an effort to rehab his injured ankle so he can play in the Super Bowl on Feb. 6th. Owens' trainer is working with him on this despite the fact that the ankle surgeon never cleared it.
Surgeon Dr. Mark Myerson put two screws and a metal plate on Owens' ankle on December 19th. By not clearing Owens, Myerson does not want to be blamed if he injures it again on the field. He says the ankle has healed well but not well enough to play.
The decision for Owens to play comes down to Owens himself, the Eagles' medical staff and coach Andy Reid. Reid says they will not put Owens in danger. Quarterback Donovan McNabb says the Eagles can beat the Patriots without him.
