A stripper has won C$800,000 in damages against the Ontario Safari Park after a tiger reached into her car and mauled her nine years ago. Her boyfriend won C$1,700,000. Both amounts were based on loss of earnings.
The couple claimed that the tiger rushed the car causing them to accidentally open the windows in their terror. The park disputes this claim believing that tiger attacked because the windows were already open. The judge sided with the couple.
The stripper claims to have been forced to retire because of the scars from the attack. Her accordion playing boyfriend also claims he can no longer work as a result of his injuries.
