General Motors to Offer OnStar as Standard

GM announced yesterday that they will be offering OnStar – an in-vehicle communications service – as standard in all its vehicles by 2007. Electronic stability control will also come as standard across the line.

A General Motors’ spokesperson said that the company believes it will be the first carmaker to offer both features as standard across its entire line. Stability control will also be available in 2007, but in trucks and cars by 2010.
