An ad campaign funded by Ford Motor Corp’s settlement payout is being launched by a coalition of state attorney generals across the United States. The ads show the dangers of Sports Utility Vehicles.
They depict people riding on a vicious, furry animal which has been dubbed the Esuvee. SUVs are more prone to rollover accidents than cars, as they sit higher and these ads hope to highlight the dangers and the differences between SUVs and cars.
Ford was made to pay out a settlement during a court case brought against the carmaker which claimed Ford’s advertising was offensive. It was this payout that was used to pay for the Esuvee campaign.
