Woman Duped Into Paying $5000.00 for Services of Mermaids

HARARE, Zimbabwe - When local businesswoman, Magrate Mapfumo, had her car and thousands of dollars in cash stolen, she enlisted the advice of musician Edna Chizema on how to recover her goods. Now she is out over $5000.00 as well.

Mapfumo paid Chizena $5,000.00 to have four mermaids flown into Harare and recover her stolen merchandise. In addition, she paid Chizema to have the mermaids housed at the Jameson Hotel, obtain cell phones and power generators.

Mapfumo was told that the mermaids were named Emma, Charmaine, Sharvine, Bella and an unnamed Arab mermaid. Mapfumo believes that mermaids are fearsome enchantresses that seek vengeance on wrongdoers. As a result, Chizema is now on trial for theft.

If any of you get your stuff stolen..

I'll fly in four mermaids for only $2,500.00. That's a full 50% of the going rate for mermaids. They can stay in my bathtub.

  I hired Ariel.

She wasn't getting much work after the second Little Mermaid movie flopped. She is very street savy and one hell of a private investigator. She found the guys that stole my bike and flippered the snot out of them.

  The True Story

I think what probably happened was that the musician gave the money to the mermaids and they just pocketed it and refused to show. They do that all the time because people don't believe they exist. The client then goes after the middleman through ignorance. I tell you, if a mermaid comes up to you and asks you to help them to find people who had stuff stolen from them turn them down. It's all for the better.
