World Cup Qualifier: England Beat Northern Ireland

With a strong second half England scored 4 goals against Northern Ireland to put an end to their resistance in the first half. During the first 45 minutes of the game at Old Trafford Rooney hit the post and Northern Ireland's keeper was in good form.

After the half time break the score sheet changed dramatically with Joe Cole starting the 3 goal lead within 9 minutes. Michael Owen scored the second and Chris Baird put the ball in his own net for England's third goal from a Rooney cross.

Frank Lampard scored England's last goal of the match leaving the score sheet at 4-0 for England.
