Woman Fined for Watching Television While Driving

WINDSOR - A 21-year-old woman from southwestern Ontario has been fined 110 dollars for driving while watching television. The officer who cited the woman noticed a TV monitor located in the middle of her dashboard.

After stopping the woman, the officer found that the vehicle was equipped with a television and DVD player. It was found that she was watching a music video while driving.

  How the hell...
does the cop know she was watching it?? I mean it's a MUSIC video. I know when I'm working I sometimes have music videos playing on one monitor and do my work on the other. I'm not really watching the video, just listening to the music and sometimes take a break from my work and watch a little. She could of just had the DVD playing to listen to the music (a lot of these DVDs have higher sound quality than regular CDs) and have something cool on the screen. I know if I had a in-dash DVD player I would do the same thing.

Now I'm not saying she WASNT watching it. However if she wasnt driving like a drunk then I don't see any issue with this.

  Personally seen things like this!
This car full of teens had a van screen mounted in their car so that the driver could watch it. They actually were watching the video and driving like drunks. I agree that if she wasn't driving like a drunk she shouldn't have been given a fine, maybe just a warning that she shouldn't have the screen up while she's driving. BTW, I live in Ontario.

  Umm, bored was she?
I'm wondering if she was actually driving or waiting for the light to change. We all get a little bored waiting for that lil ole light to change, dont we? I'm also wondering if the cop would be able to inform the judge during his testimony what song/band was playing and if he/she enjoyed the video as well.
