COCOA-- Deputy sheriff Henry F. Schook III was arrested Monday at 2:30am after authorities say he was observed starting a wildfire with a police-issued flare.
Schook is suspected of being involved in at least 10 other fires, and has been under investigation for nearly two months.
He has been suspended without pay. He is currently free on $5000 bond. "He was not a stellar employee but always met standards," states Sgt. Andrew Walters of the sheriff's department.
