Mazda Announces New North American SUV

The Mazda Motor Corporation has announced a new SUV to be released in North America next year. The new SUV will be a crossover vehicle, equipped with the features of a sports car and the capabilities of an SUV.

The new vehicle, tentatively named the CX-7, will go in direct market competition with Toyota’s Lexus RX series and Nissan’s Murano. The CX-7 is part of Mazda’s plan to boost US sales by 13% next year.

Production on the CX-7 will begin next year in Japan.
