David Beckham to Stay in Spain

Soccer star and Engliand captain David Beckham has confirmed that he will be staying with Real Madrid, following rumours that new Manchester United owner Malcom Glazer wanted him to head back to Old Trafford.

Speaking in an interview on Radio Marca, Beckham said: "I am happier now here than I have been before. I am certain I want to retire here." He also admitted to having trouble adjusting to his Spanish career, but that he was now on track.

Real Madrid has performed relatively poorly since Beckham joined the club, in terms of going out two years in a row without a trophy. Beckham praised Real coach Wanderley Luxemburgo, and said that Real was now committed to winning next season.
