NBC Sued by Motley Crue

Classic rock band Motley Crue are suing television network NBC in Los Angeles, following the band being banned from performing on the network. The ban came after Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil swore during a live broadcast.

The New York Times reported that the band decided to sue because the banning impinges on Motley Crue’s right to free speech, and also could impact record sales due to reduced exposure in the media.

An NBC statement said: "To ensure compliance with its broadcast standards, NBC has the right to decide not to invite back guests who violate those standards and use an expletive during a live entertainment program."

If they hadn't of cursed, then they could still appear on NBC...

but no, once again Motley Crue has to show the world just how "rock" "wacky" "wild" "crazy" they are by swearing (ooooh the controversy) on live television so it couldn’t be edited out.

NBC could have been fined hundreds of thousands of dollars because of those washed up losers, and they were quite right to ban them from the station from hereon in.

Maybe I’ll go on a live edition of Sesame Street with my band and say “******, Big Bird is a tall f*****!” oh and shock horror me and my band are banned from that channel forever, would I cry and sue them or just think wow what a retard I was.

  THIS is NOT censorship
NBC is NOT the government. NBC is a business with the right to practice their business how they see fit. If I came to work and said obscene things that my customers could here my job would fire me. NBC can put on anyone they want. NBC can stop anyone from performing on their networks that they want. Now, if this were PBS, since they are government funded, I could see where this is censorship, but until The US of A is putting money into NBC's pockets, this is just their busienss practice. Vince Neil needs to pull his head out of his ass.

I get so pissed off when dumbshits start whining about their "freedom of speech" being infringed upon and they have no clue as to what they're talking about...

Eventually everyone on the planet will become a "sad group of mid life crisis enduring lamers." It's a rite of passage if we live long enough.
