Health officials have begun to examine a possible link between Viagra use and blindness. The FDA has identified 50 men suffering with the condition, which appears to present in men with heart disease or diabetes.
The condition known as NAION causes rapid reduction in vision, and in some cases blindness. The FDA says that as of yet there is no solid link to Viagra. Pfizer, the makers of the drug, are considering changing the warnings on the drugs label.
The FDA and Pfizer are quick to point out that NAION is an extremely rare condition. Doctors investigating this condition urge patients who experience ocular problems to speak to their doctor. They warned of the dangers of purchasing Viagra online.
