Harry Potter and the Muggle Thieves

Northamptonshire police confirmed two men from Kettering were arrested for trying to sell a stolen copy of book 6 of the Harry Potter series to a tabloid. It is said they intended to charge 50,000 pounds or around US$90,880.

In addition to the theft the pair are charged with firearms violations. They were arrested after police were called to Kettering after reports of a shot being fired.

According to a police spokesman a 37-year-old is charged with possession of an offensive weapon and handling a stolen book and a 19-year-old is charged with the theft and possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear and violence.
