San Francisco Holds Annual "Masturbate-a-thon"

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - The city held it's annual "Masterbate-a-thon" on Saturday. The event is designed to promote people pleasuring themselves and to raise funds for San Francisco's Center for Sex and Culture.

The event, which is expected to draw around 120 people, also promotes competition among it's participants. One man from New York intended to break last year's endurance record of six-and-a-half hours.

Norine Dworkin, last year's female endurance champion described the experience as "about as pleasurable as rubbing an elbow." One male participant named Tony stated, "The whole point is coming out and making love to your best friend."

  Only an endurance competition?

What about competitions for fastest finish, or longest shot.

  dangerous

I'm not an expert on this or anything, and have done no research what-so-ever...but... Isn't it dangerous to maintain an erection for more than 4hrs? I know thats a warning on the Viagra and other 'male enhancement' drugs...

at any rate, after 6.5hrs, i'd be bored stiff *cough*

  Appetizing

Perhaps if the aesthetical problem of humanity is ever resolved, masturbation might become a more socialized sexual behaviour. Until then, *gag*

  isn't...

Theres no anchors in the page, but towards the end theres a section about zinc loss. Basically it says, it is a factor, but it's so uncommon it's not worth worrying about. So don't fret ;)

  More Power to them

If they are comfortable being so OPEN about their sexuality, go them! Personally, I would not be able to participate per my own reasons, but hey!- that doesn't make it wrong. Kudos to the winners! lol

It was a google ask a question thing, i just saw it as one of the recent ones and there was like 10 pages on why it is bad. But really it was only an issue for people with a sever problem, like twice a day for months or something like that and was mainly memory loss or something. I never read too deeply on the thing but seemed like it was unhealthy, oh well, maby not

  Masturbation is good for you

The view that masturbation is bad for you is usually put about by various religions that find it morally wrong.

Regular masturbation actually protects men from prostate cancer.
