High School Student Held for Killing Parents and Blowing Up Apartment

On June 22 Tokyo police arrested a 15-year-old boy for the murder of his parents.

The bodies were found on June 20 after an explosion in the family's apartment. Police determined that the deaths occurred before the explosion. The boy's father was hit on the head and stabbed several times and his mother was stabbed dozens of times.

The boy said, "I thought I'd kill my father because he'd made fun of me. My mother was always doing hard chores and I felt sorry for her. She'd said she wanted to die, so I killed her."

  too tricky to touch

my first thought was "why didn't the mother just file for divorce" but then again, this didn't happen in the US and I don't know the processes and customs of such...

Either way, killing someone is just wrong. When they feel their life is no longer useful, they will do it themselves. Everyone can't make it. No one should help speed up the process.

  You mean "harikiri"

BTW - "Harikiri" is the more common term. It literally means stomach cutting. But "seppuku" is the more formal term.
