Doctors in Bangladesh have removed a dead foetus from inside a teenage boy. Apparently the foetus has been there since the child was born and would have been the boy's twin brother if it had developed normally.
In this rare condition two foetus are conceived together but one absorbs the other during the early stages of development. The sixteen-year-old boy had been complaining of stomach pain, and was sent to the hospital.
That was when doctors discovered and removed the foetus, which weighed 4.5 pounds. Everything except for the head were fully developed. Hundreds of curious people flocked to the hospital after hearing a boy had given birth to a baby.
